Voltereta es el nombre con el que el músico afincado en Barcelona Felipe L. Navarro firma sus discos. En sus anteriores trabajos ‘Hestia’ (autopublicado, 2014) y ‘Castigo Al Mar’ (Traum Schallplatten, 2015) combina melodías sintéticas con texturas orgánicas y grabaciones de campo, creando una electrónica de precisión que invita a un baile lento, de ligera nostalgia. En este nuevo ep, Voltereta continúa con esta experimentación añadiendo elementos de ruido, capas de pads y ritmos y un mayor brillo en las melodías. Los cinco temas que lo componen cuentan la historia de la construcción de Cabezas Bien Altas, un lugar imaginario al que sus habitantes llegaron después de que su ciudad de origen quedara sepultada bajo el mar.

Voltereta is the solo project of Barcelona-based musician Felipe L. Navarro. His previous releases ‘Hestia’ (self-released, 2014) and ‘Castigo Al Mar’ (Traum Schallplatten, 2015) combine synthetic melodies with organic textures and field recordings, creating precise electronic music that invites to a slow dance of slight nostalgia. In this new ep, Voltereta keeps working in that direction adding elements of noise, pad and rhythm layers and brighter melodies. These five tracks tell the story of the construction of Cabezas Bien Altas, an imaginary place where its inhabitants arrived after their city of origin was buried under the sea.
